Your first addition of this and your other holiday books helped give the Jewish holidays special meaning & enrichment to my daughter & I, especially since your our very special cousin.

I look forward to getting more stories from one of my favorite story tellers.Nancy Diamondnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4979108620698271598.post-11835933972007921382011-02-12T14:51:32.774-08:002011-02-12T14:51:32.774-08:00I really enjoyed reading this interview.
Barbara ...I really enjoyed reading this interview.

Barbara Goldin has written many wonderful books.
Cakes and Miracles is one of my favorites.

Jaime Zollar's illustrations are as magical as the storytelling. It's a great match-up.

Barbara mentions Sholem Aleichem. Both the words and pictures invoke the feeling of old-European dream-like beauty that you might get from one of his short stories.

Congratulations to both! I hope they make many more books together.Jeff Mackhttp://www.jeffmack.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4979108620698271598.post-50629685658935467512011-02-10T07:31:51.599-08:002011-02-10T07:31:51.599-08:00Barbara is a such a great storyteller, and it is g...Barbara is a such a great storyteller, and it is great to see this book again with warm, beautiful illustrations.Amy Gordonnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4979108620698271598.post-62280526966040998662011-02-09T09:25:55.952-08:002011-02-09T09:25:55.952-08:00The original edition of Cakes and Miracles has alw...The original edition of Cakes and Miracles has always been my favorite Purim story to share with my students and my own children. I'd like to add that now we have specially designed conferences and workshops for writers of Jewish children's lit, so we can collectively continue to nurture our children, and of course, through the Sydney Taylor Book Award, a way to recognize outstanding accomplishment. Well done!Barbara Krasnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01291797078388384158noreply@blogger.com
